Most of the technology that we need to build a prosperous, fair, zero-carbon society is already here, we're just not using it. The challenge of our time is to redesign our systems – our ways of organising.

Systems are the invisible common infrastructures that underpin our lives. They are society's playing field - its operating platforms – its ways of doing. They are the frameworks we use to collaborate and to compete. The problem is that many of the systems we use today are obsolete. They were designed for a different world, with different challenges, different technology and different values.

We are a non-profit R&D lab whose purpose is to research, design, test and deploy the everyday infrastructure for a new economy: to collaboratively develop new ways of doing, and get them into the hands of every citizen, community, business and government.

"You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete." – Buckminster Fuller
